Entrepreneur, activist, producer and writer Sijuan King is pleased to announce the release of her debut suspense thriller, Millennium Slave: Part I.

When Si began writing the book six years ago, she never imagined that it would be so relevant today. Pre-President Barack Obama and the now infamous “Occupy Wall Street”, Si had a vision. She dreamt of a world where a relatively small percentile held all the wealth, power and the innocent lives of men, women and children in their greedy and diabolical hands.

Millennium Slave is the two-part story of handsome and brilliant Charles Allen Hart, a New York City financial executive with the world at his fingertips. While still in his early thirties, he is appointed CFO of global giant C.E.E.L. Industries. When he is invited aboard the company yacht for a cruise to the Caribbean, he considers it just one more milestone in his meteoric rise to the top. Charles asks his girlfriend Trudy Henderson to go along, planning to propose marriage as they sail into the sunset.

What they are sailing into, however, is an unimaginable nightmare; for their destination is not an island paradise, but a secret island where human bondage is still the law of the land. Millennium Slave: Part I chronicles Charles’ epic struggle to regain his life after he and his fiancée are abducted and enslaved on a private island. Despite his captors’ attempts to break him, Charles never loses hope that he will one day be free. After years of planning, he escapes and returns to America, but the men behind his captivity are among the most powerful in the nation. It is not long before he finds himself in yet another struggle, but this time he is fighting for so much more.

Si credits her family, including her Uncle Don, with giving her the drive, determination and perseverance to achieve her goals. “From a very early age my family has been my support system and fan club,” Ms. King said, “and Don King has taught me that anything you dream is possible.”

One of her dreams has always been to write novels. “Writing this book has been an amazing experience for me. These characters have lived in my head for so long. To see them in print is so exciting, and the release of Millennium Slave: Part I could not have come at a better time.”

And this is just the beginning. Millennium Slave: Part I is a nail-biting thriller, and ends with a cliffhanger that will have readers begging for more. Thankfully, they won’t have to wait for very long. Si is already working on Millennium Slave: Part II title, which is set for release in early 2012.
